Ajaxian » Heroku brings node.js support to its hosted solutions.

node.js continues to elicit mindshare – this kind of news begs for an asynchonous haXe application stack targeting javascript,  like:

  • node.js API (check)
  • mongo API (check)
  • servlet API (check)
  • package and deployment (check), haxed is running under node.js (not published yet)

It’s all here right now in a modest way, and by the time node.js really takes off will be mature.

I believe that node.js will eclipse Java on the serverside for webapps, as it  provides a simple API for the developer with a tiny footprint for the host. Given node.js is a triumph of V8 how long before Google picks it up for the app-engine?
